FIRST TIME FLEXER
Welcome to
flex in the city!
We are so glad you are considering Pilates at Flex and we look forward to welcoming you to the studio soon. You might start Pilates for your overall health and fitness, to improve your core strength and posture, as part of your recovery from an injury or for pain relief… no matter what your reason, you will find a class at Flex that works for you.
We have two studios at Penrose Wharf. One offers mixed-level Reformer classes for a great, ever-changing workout. The other uses the full range of Pilates apparatus, with classes divided by level, so you can learn the method in proper depth. Whether you want to move freely or learn deeply, Flex is the only studio in Cork built for both.
NEW CLIENT PACKAGES
You're more than welcome to drop in to a class before committing to a pack.
NEW TO PILATES? Start with a private lesson (take advantage of our New Client Induction Packs) or book into one of our Foundations Reformer classes.
Coming with an injury, significant back or joint pain, osteoporosis, or anything else affecting your movement? We recommend booking a private session first, so we can tailor the work to you, and make sure we recommend the right class for you.
Pregnant? Our regular group classes aren't suitable during pregnancy, we see prenatal students for private lessons so we can tailor them to your needs each week.
Already a regular Pilates client elsewhere? Feel free to drop straight into a mixed level class — no need to start with a private lesson! Please do note that we recommend starting with a Foundations class if you have been taking classes elsewhere but are new to our studio.

This 1:1 session is tailored to your body and your goals and is a great way to start Pilates at Flex. Your teacher will show you around the studio and take a moment before you start moving to get to know you, your movement history, whether you have any injuries past/present that might impact how you move and what you would like to get from Pilates. Based on that, you will work on the apparatus (Reformer/Tower/Chair/Mat) to allow you to become familiar with Pilates and the equipment, so you will feel confident to continue on your Pilates journey, whether that is into classes or more private lessons. If you have a preference in terms of equipment, you can of course let your teacher know to focus on that and your teacher will also make recommendations based on the session as to what classes might benefit you the most.
Please note, a private lesson with Julette, the studio director is €75.
Want to bring a friend with you? We offer duet 2:1 private lessons for €75.

This pack includes 4 classes for you to use after you have completed an initial 1:1 session. This is ideal if you are new to Pilates and want to get comfortable using the equipment at your own pace, while having the full attention of your teacher for guidance and questions. The 1:1 session will typically focus on the reformer but can focus on the tower/chair if you are already familiar with the reformer.

This is a great option for someone who would like to delve a little deeper at the beginning or someone who is coming with a history of pain and isn’t currently experiencing symptoms but is nervous about exercising again. The most popular options are two reformer based sessions or one session on the Reformer and the other on the Tower/Chair.
